british design exhibit v&a

Had a team day at work today and went to see the British Design Exhibition at the V&A, really chuffed about this as I have been meaning to go myself for a while!

I was really impressed with this exhibition, especially the music element (as you can probably tell from my photos!) This exhibit takes you through the decades and includes art, design, music, fashion, technology, film and photography. My favourite area was definitely the 70s and 80s for the music culture, fashion and icons of the times. There was also a screen playing some fantastic music videos including; David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes, Roxy Music - Avalon, The Specials - Ghost Town, The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever, Blur - Country House and an exert from the Jubilee film by Derek Jarman 1977.

You'll leave this exhibition feeling very patriotic, definitely a must see!
